Growing up in Skokie, Scott’s love of working outdoors and mowing lawns lead to the creation of his business in 1976. After a few years of growth and success, Scott became a member of the Illinois Landscape Contractors Association to expand his knowledge of the industry. After 45 years, Scott positioned Contour Landscaping as a leading professional landscape service provider in the Greater Chicagoland area. Scott was a Certified Arborist with the International Society of Arboriculture and the past president of the Illinois Professional Lawn Care Association. Scott founded Contour in 1976 with eight lawns to mow, a rental trailer, and his Opel Kadett. He managed to grow a small start up lawn mowing business into a successful landscape and snow removal company. Scott grew up in and always operated his business out of Skokie. The local community was important to Scott which led him to getting and staying involved with the Skokie Chamber of Commerce, most recently as its Board Chairman. Scott was always an active member in trade organizations and had many hobbies which included some stand up comedy and story telling in recent years. Unfortunately, Scott passed away in 2022 and although Contour has lost the man that started it all, he has left a legacy which Contour Landscaping, Inc. will carry on into the future. The current staff at Contour is dedicated to providing you the most professional service in memory of Scott and what he helped to build.
